Payment and Refund Policy
Last updated: 15 September 2026
Scope of the Policy and the Products or Services It Covers
This Payment and Refund Policy applies to all purchases of digital courses, resources and related professional materials offered through journafyx. The services focus on studio production in motion, including studio equipment setup, dynamic camera operation, lighting and sound waves, and creating smooth high-quality workflows for television news and live shows. The policy covers consumers located in the United Kingdom and governs transactions conducted via our commercial website. It does not apply to any physical goods or in-person training sessions.
Prices, Currencies, Taxes and Any Additional Charges
All prices are displayed in British Pounds Sterling (GBP). The total amount shown at checkout includes the applicable rate of Value Added Tax (VAT) at the current UK rate. No additional charges apply for standard digital delivery. Where promotional discounts or bundle offers are presented, the final price reflects the reduced amount after the discount is applied. Customers remain responsible for any currency conversion fees imposed by their payment provider when using cards issued outside the United Kingdom.
Accepted Payment Methods, Payment Authorisation and Payment Security
We accept major credit and debit cards, PayPal and bank transfers. Payment is authorised at the point of purchase through secure third-party processors. All card transactions are protected by industry-standard encryption and comply with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard. Authorisation confirms that sufficient funds are available; actual settlement occurs once the order is confirmed. journafyx does not store complete card details on its own systems.
Order, Booking or Service Confirmation and When a Contract Is Formed
A binding contract is formed when you receive an order confirmation email after completing the checkout process. This email contains details of the purchased course access, payment amount and download or streaming instructions. Until this confirmation is sent, no contract exists and any amounts held are treated as pending authorisations only.
Cancellation Rights and Applicable Cancellation Periods
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel within 14 calendar days of receiving your order confirmation. Cancellation must be notified in writing to [email protected]. Digital content that has been downloaded or streamed during this period may result in loss of the right to cancel if you expressly consented to immediate performance and acknowledged that the right would be lost.
Refund Eligibility, Exclusions and Non-Refundable Items or Services
Refunds are available for unused digital access within the 14-day cancellation period provided no substantial content has been consumed. Access codes that have been redeemed, completed courses, and any promotional or gift purchases are excluded from refund. Refunds are not granted for change of mind after content consumption begins or for failure to meet technical requirements on the customer’s own equipment.
The Step-by-Step Procedure and Information Required to Request a Refund
To request a refund, email [email protected] with your order number, full name, and a clear statement of the reason. Include the date of purchase and confirmation that no substantial content has been accessed. Requests must be submitted within the applicable cancellation period. We will acknowledge receipt within two working days and provide further instructions if additional details are required.
Inspection, Approval, Rejection and Notification of the Refund Decision
Each request is reviewed within five working days. We assess whether the cancellation period applies and whether any content has been substantially accessed. You will receive written notification of approval or rejection together with the reasons for any refusal. Approved refunds are processed without further action on your part.
Refund Method, Processing Time and When Funds Should Reach the Customer
Refunds are issued to the original payment method. Credit or debit card refunds typically appear on your statement within five to ten working days, although some banks may take longer. PayPal refunds are usually credited within three to five working days. Bank transfer refunds are completed within seven working days. We cannot influence delays caused by your financial institution.
Special Rules for Digital Content, Subscriptions, Services or Promotional Offers
Because our offerings consist of digital content, the 14-day right to cancel may be lost once download or streaming commences if you have given prior express consent. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. Promotional offers are subject to the same cancellation rules as standard purchases unless the offer terms state otherwise. No refunds are available for expired promotional codes or time-limited access periods that have ended.
Failed Payments, Duplicate Charges, Chargebacks and Suspected Fraud
Failed payments must be resolved before access is granted. Duplicate charges detected by our system are automatically investigated and refunded within ten working days. Chargebacks are treated as refund requests and may result in suspension of access pending resolution. Suspected fraudulent activity leads to immediate account review and may be reported to the appropriate authorities in line with UK law.
Mandatory Consumer Rights in the Target Country That the Policy Cannot Exclude
Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 or the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008. These rights include the right to receive services with reasonable care and skill and the right to a refund where digital content is not of satisfactory quality. Any term that attempts to exclude these rights is void.

The current version is always available on this page and the last-updated date appears at the top. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
